It also seeks to build its own infrastructure if the there is no existing value chain infrastructure in a market that it intends to operate. This ensures that its supply chains deliver goods and services quickly and cost-effectively (Raman and Narayanan, 2004) to serve its market. It also seeks to have committed local franchisees to coordinate its value chain and if there is none, Burger King is willing to own up its value chain.
